Favourite Books

If you’re like myself and love a good book then this post is for you! I just love everything about books. The smells, the feel and of course the story. There is nothing better than curling up with a blanket, cup of tea and a good book.

Growing up I absolutely hated reading, I couldn’t ever get past the first page if I even made it to the end of the page. It wasn’t so much that I couldn’t get into the book because I owned a lot of great books it was just the fact that I couldn’t read. Well, I mean I could read but I had A LOT of issues and I am still like this to this day. I actually found out a few years ago that I have a form of dyslexia so that explains why I had so many issues.

I actually remember the first book I finished well I should rephrase that it was the first novel I read. I have been searching for the book for over 10 years and nowhere to be found.

I know that there are a lot of people whom love to read so I thought I would share some of my favourite books. Maybe you have read them maybe you haven’t but I do encourage you to leave some of your favourite books in the comments below.

Just also wanted to say that the books are not in order of my love for them! Also that these are not all my favourites just a few!

Harry Potter – you can’t talk about books without Harry, and I know I am not the only one still waiting for my acceptance letter to Hogwarts! Ravenclaw house all the way!

A Handful of Time – This was one of my favourites growing up, I would get my mom to read it to me all the time. There is a lot of time travel so hold on.

Bad Girls Don’t Die – Not going to lie I bought this just because of the cover, yes I am that person! Honestly it was such a good book and I have reread it so many time that I have actually destroyed my copy.

Melissa Explains it All – Like a lot of people my age I grew up watching Melissa play many charters from Clarissa, Sabrina and now Melissa on Melissa & Joey.  Seeing how she had or I should say has an impact on my life I was SO excited for her book and again I have given it so much love that there is nothing left of it. I really need to go and replace some of my books!

The Program – I was recommended this book from one of the workers at my local book store, this book is just insane! It had me on the edge of me seat and everything that goes on is so scary only because it is something that could happen in real life. This is the first in the series so now I have to go grab the other books to read.

The Outsiders – Okay I have to include a classic. I remember having to read this in I think it was grade 6 and well honestly I didn’t read it back then I just waited until we watched the movie, but I have read it a few times since then and it just tares at my heart.

Safe Heaven – I absolutely love this book! I love all of his books but this one just spoke to me more than any other one of his. I think it was because when I read it I was going through a very bad time in my life.

Seriously… I’m Kidding – Okay if you know me then you know I have a huge love for Ellen and if you haven’t read this book GO BUY IT! You will laugh and just enjoy your time!
